Friends of Forgotten Children and 105.5 WJYY partner for radio auction

(Concord, NH) – On June 9th and 10th Friends of Forgotten Children and 105.5 WJYY will be working together to help fight hunger and poverty among New Hampshire's youth and their families through a radio auction and pledge drive.

Operations Manager at WJYY AJ Dukette stated: "Friends of Forgotten Children is such an important charity to the Concord area. It is imperative that this organization continues to provide support for those in need right here in the Capitol Region. We here at JYY are proud to lend our support to help them continue with their tradition of generosity."

Local Working Families Eligible for Free Life Insurance Program Benefitting Children

Concord, NH – The Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) is giving away free $50,000 term life insurance policies to benefit children of working families throughout Concord New Hampshire. MassMutual pays all insurance premiums on the policies as part of the company’s philanthropic LifeBridgeSM program. Eligible parents and legal guardians may apply for this coverage during a public event on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Friends of Forgotten Children office located at 224 Bog Road, Concord, NH. Eligible applicants should call Friends of Forgotten Children at 603-753-4801 to schedule their 15 minute appointment. Appointments are preferred.

"LifeBridge is a unique and important program and I am pleased to be bringing free life insurance to local families," said Andrew Barnes, Executive Director of Friends of Forgotten Children.

Tandy's Top Shelf began selling tickets this weekend to a First Night Event that promises to your ring in 2011 with panache and style.

"Combining great food, music, dancing, fundraising and lodging into one event was no small feat," says Brian Stephens who developed the concept. "Since we opened 6 months ago, we have learned how to throw a great party, then we launched a weekend buffet brunch.  Now we are partnering with local hotels to give people a complete package for New Year's Eve through to the afternoon of New Year's Day."

Concord Fire and Police Departments Deliver the Goods

These men, who give so much of themselves, have been holding a drive to gain clothing for those less fortunate in the City they serve and protect.

United States Submarine USS New Hampshire Sailors Befriend Friends of Forgotten Children

Concord, New Hampshire, November 8, 2007 - Ten sailors assigned to the Navy's fast attack submarine USS New Hampshire delivered over 250 food items collected from a food drive on their base in Groton, CT to the Friends of Forgotten Children (FOFC) this past weekend. Two representatives of the Family Readiness Group accompanied their husbands on their five hour round trip to assist in the delivery. Upon their arrival, in true US Navy tradition, the sailors were "piped aboard" to the US Navy song "Anchor's Aweigh" by newly assigned Executive Director William Dearborn of Epsom on the bagpipes.
